Facility Projects Manager

The ANFF Facility Projects Manager will provide expert guidance throughout the planning and implementation of research projects, with a particular focus on nurturing linkages with the private sector. The ANFF Facility Projects Manager will work closely with the ANFF Facility Business Manager to ensure that performance targets are met, and to engage in long-term strategic planning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and results driven individual. Your relationship building and interpersonal skills will support and complement this role as the key liaison point between research and industry-based clients and the ANFF-NSW Process Engineering team.

  • advanced practical skills in a fabrication capability area, including micro- and/or nano-fabrication
  • extensive technical and management experience in a relevant public sector research environment
  • a PhD in a relevant field of engineering or science

ANFF
Administrative positions

Facility Business Manager

The Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF) spans across eight Nodes located around Australia. ANFF provides Australian researchers from both the public and private sectors with access to specialised nano- and micro-fabrication equipment and services.

An opportunity exists to be an integral part of a major national research facility as Facility Business Manager at the University of New South Wales Node. The Facility Business Manager will work closely with the ANFF-NSW Node Director to develop strategic plans, policies and procedures for the Node's operation and evolution that comply with UNSW policies and procedures and align with core principles of the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).

To be successful this in this role you will have:

  • experience in a high level management role in a large, advanced technical facility, with a comprehensive technical understanding of semiconductor device processing
  • exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities with advanced strategic, operational and project management skills
  • a PhD in a relevant field of engineering or science, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through education, training or experience
