Future vision for Engineering in Australia
UNSW Engineering encourages its students to embrace their experience by actively participating in projects across a range of exciting engineering disciplines. These initiatives allow students to contribute to their time at UNSW and wider society through projects such as the Student Ambassador Program and Engineers Without Borders. Many of the initiatives are student-led such as the Redback Racing Team, Sunswift’s solar car, Robogals, and Computer Science and Engineering’s soccer playing robots.
The Faculty has a goal to boost female enrolments to 25% by the end of 2020 through its Women In Engineering program.
UNSW Engineering offers a range of programs for its students to get hands-on experience during their degrees.
Women. Half the population, but only 10% of engineers. We are determined to change this through our Women in Engineering program.
Scholarship opportunities for students in isolated and rural communities to study engineering at UNSW.
UNSW Engineering researchers are bold, quick-thinkers, challenging the most complex issues of the world today.
