The UNSW Faculty of Engineering is the largest in Australia and offers the widest choice of engineering degree programs for students.
We have 9 schools and 66 years worth of experience bringing together passionate academics, brilliant engineering researchers and partnerships with government and industry, both here and overseas.
In 2016 the Faculty has 810 staff, comprising of 530 academic and 280 professional and technical staff, teaching over 11,000 enrolled students. About 20% of engineers that graduate each year from Australian universities, graduate from UNSW.
We offer the widest range of undergraduate courses and enrol more high-achieving school leavers than any other engineering faculty in NSW.

Top 100 Future Leaders Awards 2016
UNSW has been awarded ‘Most Employable University’ in the Top 100 Future Leaders Awards, with 16 UNSW students making the list, the largest percentage of any university across the country, including 7 of our own engineers! The awards aim to find the “cream of the crop” in the graduate employment stakes and are hosted by graduate job website GradConnection and the Australian Financial Review.

Twenty two per cent of top 100 most influential Engineers in Australia have graduated or are working at UNSW Engineering. This is more than any other Australian university.
Academic Ranking of World Universities / Shanghai Jiao Tong Ranking in 2016
UNSW is the only university in Australia being ranked in the top 100 in the world in all 7 Engineering subjects.

UNSW is the #1 engineering university in Australia, according to the 2016 US News rankings. In their global rankings, we came in at #36.
Rock stars of the new economy
4 UNSW Engineering researchers and alumni appear among the newly minted Knowledge Nation 100 in 2015- the "visionaries, intellects, founders and game changers" who will shape Australia's prosperity.
UNSW produces more millionaire alumni than any other university in Australia, according to a 2013 study from Spear’s and WealthInsight. As for which subjects produced the most millionaires, engineering came first.
Research by Leading Company in 2012 found that more of Australia's top CEOs who lead ASX100 companies studied at UNSW than any other university.
