Congratulations to the First University Engineering World Health Chapter in the Southern Hemisphere! They have won first prize in the Engineering World Health annual Design Competition. Their Low Cost Uninterruptible LED Surgical Lamp design contributes to ongoing international research to improve healthcare in the developing world and shows their dedication to global health. Thanks must also go to Dr Lauren Kark, who leads the team.
