Top 50 for UNSW Engineering’s schools

UNSW Engineering’s schools make the top 50 in the 2016 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings.

Once again, all of UNSW Engineering’s subject areas have been placed in the coveted world’s top 50 for the 2016 QS world university subject rankings.

UNSW has six subjects in the top 20 including Civil and Structural Engineering and Mineral and Mining Engineering, which were both placed at 16th.

The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering jumped three places to 34th in the world. Civil and Environmental Engineering maintained its position as Australia’s leader in the subject area of Civil and Structural Engineering.

Now in their sixth year, the QS World University Rankings by Subject are based on the expert opinion of 76,798 academics and 44,426 employers, alongside the analysis of 28.5 million research papers and over 113 million citations sourced from the Scopus/Elsevier bibliometric database.
