Scholarships are a great way to take some of the financial burden out of studying at university – leaving students with more time to focus on their studies and participate in university life. For some students, like those in rural and remote locations, a scholarship can mean the difference between coming to UNSW or not.
Local students in a Faculty of Engineering program at UNSW are eligible to apply for a range of scholarships, each providing financial support to help cover university costs. There are scholarships available for overseas travel and vacation periods.
There are a range of scholarships available:
- Faculty of Engineering scholarships
- UNSW scholarships
- Postgraduate research scholarships
- Industry scholarships (some with industry training opportunities)
- Scholarships provided by private donors.
Scholarships are allocated on merit, though performance at interview, personal circumstances and personal qualities are also taken into account.
