Research Scholarships at UNSW
- The UNSW scholarships available to domestic students are Domestic Research Training Program (RTP, previously called Australian Postgraduate Award (APA)); University Postgraduate Award (UPA) and Faculty top ups – attached to RTP or UPA.
The UNSW scholarships available to International students are: International Research Training Program (RTP) – (previously called International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS)); University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA); Tuition Fee Scholarship (TFS) plus a Research Stipend and UNSW/Home Country Joint Scholarships.
There are 4 Rounds of scholarships for both International and Domestic applicants named Round 1-4 that are open and assessed throughout the year.

UNSW Scientia Fellowship Program
The UNSW Scientia Fellowship program aims to attract and retain the highest research performers to being exceptional research leaders and mentors. Applications are open to internal UNSW staff or external applicants who must hold a PhD at the time of application. More information can be found here
