Undergraduate degrees

Why study at the UNSW School of Chemical Engineering?

The School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW is globally competitive and is regarded as one of the top chemical engineering schools in Australia. We have years of teaching excellence (since 1949) and are home to some of the world’s leading professors.

Our honours undergraduate degree programs are strategically designed to be research intensive with strong links to industry. Undergraduate degrees can also be paired with another discipline such as Arts, Business or Law to complete a dual degree.

Graduates of the school are proof that our undergraduate degrees provide a solid platform to develop the right skills and knowledge to launch students into a successful and rewarding career.

We offer three core programs - Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry and Food Science & Technology (with the option to specialise in the Food Technology or Nutrition stream). Our Chemical Engineering degree is industry accredited by the IChemE (Institution of Chemical Engineers) and the Food Science and Technology/Nutrition degree is accredited by the IFT (Institute of Food Technologists)

There is also a range of scholarships on offer for new students and it is worth looking into the UNSW Co-op Program
