Our Global Impact Continues
Congratulations to Associate Professor Thomas Wiedmann on his inclusion in the 2017 list of Most Highly Cited Researchers in the world. Tommy is one of six leading UNSW researchers to be included in this prestigious list.
The list is compiled annually by Clarivate Analytics (previously by Thomson Reuters) and celebrates contemporary research achievement in 21 fields of the sciences and social sciences, based on the number of citations for papers published between 2005 and 2015.
This year’s list features more than 3,000 researchers worldwide who have a “consistent production” of highly cited papers – defined as those that rank in the top 1% by citations for their field by publication year.
Tommy has longstanding expertise in integrated sustainability assessment and environmental footprint analysis. His main research question is how to achieve human wellbeing without increasing environmental impacts. He develops and applies environmental input/output analysis as part of a holistic concept to life cycle assessment, industrial ecology and sustainable consumption and production research.
