UNSW Civil Engineering 8th in the World & 1st in Australia
The School is excited to announce that we have continued our rise in the University World Rankings. The recent 2020 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) announced our ranking for Civil Engineering had risen to 8th in the World (and 1st in Australia). This is in line with the other leading ranking organisations that have also ranked us number one in Australia, as well as 11th (QS World University Rankings by Subject for Civil and Structural Engineering) and 14th (US News Best Global Universities for Civil Engineering) worldwide. Each ranking uses different metrics so it is particularly pleasing to be considered amongst the World’s elite Universities by all three.
The ARWU also ranked UNSW as first in Australia for the School areas of Water Resources (5th Worldwide) and Remote Sensing (13th Worldwide)
The School congratulates and thanks its entire outstanding staff, students and Industry Partners for their continued effort to collectively strive to excel.
