Senior Research Associate in School of Civil and Environmental Engineering's Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (RCITI)
Dr. Hanna Grzybowska is a senior research associate in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering's Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (rCITI) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Before joining UNSW, she was a member of the Intelligent Fleet Logistics (IFL) business team at NICTA, Australia’s largest organisation dedicated to ICT research. Hanna completed her PhD in Operational Research at the Department of Statistics and Operational Research of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain
Her key research interests include: vehicle fleet management, city logistics, real-time and dynamic vehicle routing problems and simulation. She has been working on dynamic traffic assignment models.
As a member of the IFL team, Hanna received the Richard Newton Excellence in Wealth Creation Impact Award in 2012 and the Award for Excellence in Transport and Logistics at the SMART Logistics 2013 conference (the largest supply chain conference in Australia). Hanna also received The Honourable Mention David Willis Best Poster Award for the poster titled: “Regional Dynamic Traffic Assignment Model for Sydney: Lessons Learned in Developing Input Data” at the 37th Australasian Transport Research Forum held in Sydney Australia on 30 September to 2 October 2015. She is also a co-author of the paper which received The Best Paper Award in recognition of an outstanding paper in freight modelling submitted to the 95th Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting 2016: " Food Rescue and Delivery: A Heuristic Algorithm for Periodic Unpaired Pickup and Delivery Vehicle Routing Problem" presented by the Freight Planning and Logistics Committee.
