Exchange from UNSW
At UNSW we pride ourselves on being one of Australia’s most international universities. We encourage our students to spend time studying overseas at one of our partner institutions and also encourage overseas students to study at UNSW.
UNSW has a large and active exchange program with more than 170 different student exchange opportunities around the world. For more general information visit the UNSW Exchange Website.
Opportunities to study overseas
Today’s engineers are global citizens and many students taking Civil and Environmental Engineering programs have taken the opportunity to be part of the UNSW Exchange program to study in other countries.
Read our exchange stories from Penny Peng and Natasha Belijic to learn from our students about what it’s like to go on Exchange and what you need to consider in terms of finding the right matching courses with UNSW. Everyone has concerns about being in another country, far away from family and friends, but our students say that this can also be one of the best experiences of your life because you learn so much about another culture – and about yourself.
A list of courses which have been previously approved can be found here.
Please note this list is subject to change and should be used as a guide only when selecting your electives.
Students can also refer to the FAQs - International Exchange guide for further information.
If you have any questions regarding the application process or relevant partner Universities please contact the Global Education and Student Exchange Office.
