On alternate Thursdays during session we have public research seminars.  These are presentations given by members of our group as well as by internationally renowned visitors.

These video seminars allow researchers all over the world to learn about our what we do and research that is happening in institutions around the world.


Most of the topics are directly related to

  • photovoltaic and solar cell research

but there are also topics in fields such as

Research Centre - ACAP

Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics

The Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP) comprises the Australian partners of the Australia-US Institute for Advanced Photovoltaics (AUSIAPV), which will develop the next generations of photovoltaic technology, providing a pipeline of opportunities for performance increase and cost reduction. AUSIAPV will link ACAP with NSF/DOE Energy Research Center for Quantum Energy and Sustainable Technologies (QESST), based at Arizona State University, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories, Stanford University, Georgia Institute of Technology and University of California – Santa Barbara.

This is the first time that these companies are collaborating together.  This includes a group of the largest solar cell manufacturers in the world.  It also includes a group of the major global equipment manufacturers as well as a group of major silicon material suppliers...
