Industrial Training Report Requirements
In addition to the Industrial Training Certification Form, you are required to submit a 3,000 word engineering report regarding your industrial training experience (10 - 12 pages, 1.5 line spacing, 12 size font). This report is not a descriptive account of your experience, but rather a critical and analytical discussion of your IT experience. Examples of things to include are: an overview of the organization with which you did your IT and your role and responsibilities within the organization; what you learnt from your IT experience and what skills you developed; how your IT training met the objectives of the IT program; how your IT experience relates to your university studies, and future career direction....... These are just a few ideas to get you thinking a little more critically and analytically about your IT. The employer must approve the report prior to submission and formally endorse the report as an accurate record of your employment on the title page. If more than one company is involved the report may be divided into sections representing each company and endorsed accordingly. As an example you can look one of your senior’s IT reports.
Submission of Report
Please submit your IT report via the Industrial Training Moodle page (which also contains due dates for submission of reports).
To access the Moodle page please consult the Industrial Training Student Guide (accessed via: https://www.engineering.unsw.edu.au/study-with-us/engineering-students-industrial-training).
Late submission may delay your graduation.
