So crunch time has come – you have to decide what you want to do with your life. Seems a bit unfair and you‘re probably feeling a bit anxious. Never fear. You’re obviously considering engineering (well, why else would you be here) but maybe you’re finding it hard to decide which type.
The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW offers four specialisations which are common in some parts, but lead to really different careers at the end.
To sweeten the deal, when you study a Bachelor of Engineering with us you don’t even have to choose your specialisation until the end of second year. So you get plenty of time to test the waters with bits of everything before you commit to just one field. So if you get a real buzz out of pulling machines apart to see what makes them go, and maybe even fix them or make them work better while you’re at it, then come and study with us – and decide later on what type of machines you want to work on in the long term.
