The Australian Mine Ventilation Conference 2019
UNSW Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering and AusIMM are co-hosting The Australian Mine Ventilation Conference 2019. The conference committee is Chaired by Senior Lecturer Duncan Chalmers with Dr Guangyao Si as the committee member.
This collaboration will ensures the collective expertise from both the academia and industry and contributing to safer, smarter, and more efficient next-generation mining practices.
Mine ventilation sits at the core of mining health and safety. To ensure the robust growth of the multi-billion mining industry in Australia, the conference will bring operators, planning personnel, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, government regulators, consultants and researchers together to address challenges in mine ventilation.
This biannual conference is the fifth in a series of ventilation conferences, which was initiated from 2011. The conference enables members and industry to keep abreast of views on various aspects of mine ventilation and provides a forum to showcase technical and factual information within the minerals and resources sector. Benefits from the massive mining industry in Australia, the conference is highly regarded in the international mine ventilation society and each event attracts over 200 delegates from China, South Africa, India, Kazakhstan, US, and Canada etc.
