Getting to UNSW Kensington Campus by public transport
UNSW's three campuses (Kensington, the College of Fine Arts and the Australian Defence Force Academy) are home to more than 47,000 students and 6,000 staff - all of whom have access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology and an outstanding university support network.
There are many bus routes from the Airport, Bondi Junction, Burwood, Central Station, Circular Quay, City, Coogee, Eastlakes, Glebe, Leichhardt, Maroubra, Mascot, Newtown, Pagewood, Rockdale, Surry Hills, Sydenham, Sydney University, Taylor Square, and other suburbs.
There is NO train service to Kensington, therefore, you should get off at Central Station. Bus routes 391, 393, 395 and M50 travel to the UNSW Kensington campus. The journey takes 20-25 minutes. Between 7 am and 7 pm buses operate at approximately 10 minute intervals on these services. After 7 pm buses operate every 20-30 minutes.
In the morning between 7:30 am to 12:00 noon, you can take express bus routes 895 from Stand D at Eddy Avenue opposite to Central Station. The journey takes 15-20 minutes.
A taxi from Central Railway Station takes 15-20 minutes and costs around $25.
