2019 Arc Postgraduate Council Research Student Award

Congratulations to Emmanuel Ajoma, PhD Candidate on receiving the 2019 Arc Postgraduate Council Outstanding Research Student Award! 

Emmanuel is commended for continuously raising the bar through personal dedication and giving to opportunities within UNSW and beyond. And for exemplifying an amazing commitment to teaching and helping other students grow.

The award recognizes higher degree research students who have contributed to the university community in the following four(4) areas: contribution to the enhancement of students experience, research excellence, engagement and commitment to UNSW mission and culture of social enterprise and was organized by PGC-ARC (Post Graduate Council) in collaboration with the Graduate Research School (GRS). There were a total of 4 awardees for the 2019 Arc Outstanding Research Student Award category.

Emmanuel’s research focuses on minimizing the effect of heterogeneity and gravity in oil reservoirs to maximize CO2 storage. His research can potentially increase the feasibility of CO2 storage in oil reservoirs worldwide. He is supervised by Dr Furqan Le-Hussain and Professor Christoph Arns.
