Would you like to spend your summer in Cambodia or Uganda repairing much needed medical equipment that helps save lives? You can make an immediate impact in communities that need it most, by participating in the Engineering World Health Summer Institute.
Fully immersed in a different culture, you will work alongside doctors and nurses in hospitals and clinics with very few resources. Living with local families in Cambodia or with biomedical engineering students from Makerere University in Uganda, learn a new language and gain valuable hands on experience. During weekends you are free to explore your chosen country.
In 2018/2019 UNSW Engineering students repaired over $1.6 million USD of equipment across 27 hospitals.

Approximate cost ($USD): EWH fees ~ $3,900 + Flights + Vaccinations, Visa etc
You must be available during the whole duration of 15 December 2019 - 16 February 2020 to qualify.
