What's it all about?

■  Take flight in this exciting degree, which focuses on the science and practice of air and space flight; the design, development, testing and production of aerospace vehicles; the maintenance and operation of aircraft; and aerospace research. Owing to the international nature of the aerospace industry, you receive the same depth of understanding as professional aerospace training programs in other industrial countries.

What does it include?

■  Our Aerospace Engineering degree focuses its teaching towards airborne vehicles in a way that matches future employment prospects in Australia (like aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion and structures). The final-year course involves a team project integrating all aspects of aircraft design to meet a defined mission specification. To get you work ready, you'll apply your skills through 60 days of approved industry training.

Where will you work?

■  Graduates can work on the design and manufacture of flight vehicles, their operation with major satellite companies or airlines, and in research for civil and military aerospace organisations. Employment is also found in the space industry, in defence and as a consultant to both sectors. The skills you gain are also highly sought after in non-aerospace industries like automotive and power.
